[comp.lang.smalltalk] OOP and interactive graphical environments

envwpk@epb2.lbl.gov (Werner P. Keilholz) (10/19/90)

I'm working on a project about 'using object oriented languages
to create interactive graphical input modules'. Can anyone point
me to publications in this field ?
I heard that most modern user-friendly 'graphical environments'
(such as GEM, WINDOWS, etc.) were realized with object oriented
tools. In short, I'm trying to find out why that is so.

Any hints and comments are welcome. Please answer via e-mail to the
address given below, since I do not have access to the bulletin
boards.
Thanks in advance,

Werner
