The people at DigiTalk must have been in quite a hurry to deliver their new product (which I appreciate very much!), that they have really forgotten one of the more interesting capabilities of ST/V: The Prolog/V interpreter which (even if not the most powerful engine) allowed experimentation with linking object oriented and logical programming and the concept of a "society of experts": different specialized rule modules able to (really) consult each other. I haven't tried porting the engine to ST V/Win yet. Maybe some of you have already done so or have come across severe problems (which might have been the real reason not to supply the Prolog code). So, if anyone has the ported code, I (and others I suppose) would be very glad to receive it. Thank you very much in advance - Thomas ------- Thomas Muhr, Technical University of Berlin, BITNET: muhrth@db0tui11 Project ATLAS - Computer Based Tools for Qualitative Research "Computers, like every technology, are a vehicle for the transformation of tradition."
