Do you remember the beginning of the film when Clarence is selected to save George, because its his time? Well, when Clarence reports to Joseph and whoever, they ask what he (Clarence) is carrying. Clarence replies that it is Tom Sawyer. Since Clarence is reading a book in Heaven, does it really matter if the book was written after he died? Also, why couldn't Mark Twain be writing a book in Heaven? I think that was the joke they were trying to make. How could Mark twain be writing a book when he had been dead for 35 years? Star-Lord They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Naturally they became heroes.
