[comp.lang.lisp] Good Lisp Manual

aniekan@wasat.usc.edu.UUCP (05/29/87)

Have you come across a Good User Manual for Lisp lately?
I am looking for a manual(s) that is both easy-to-read and technically
sound. If you have a recommendation please send me the title and author.

thanks,
Aniekan.

Wilensky's original LISPcraft was the only source I have ever
used to write Franz LISP programs. The appendises include a fairly
complete listing of language features. I haven't put the new LISPcraft
to a good test yet because I don't have access to a complete COMMON LISP,
but I would guess that it is a good reference text for the Franz version
     of COMMON LISP.

	I hope this helps!
