Because of the many requests for further info on George Furnas's work
with fisheye views, I decided to post the following iformation that I
have been sending to individuals
Here is additional info on fisheye views by George Furnas. I have two
papers. One is entitled "Generalized Fisheye Views" and is from the
Proceedings of the ACM SIGCHI conference, 1986. The other one I obtained
from George entitled "SemNet: Three-Dimensional Graphic Representations
of Large Knowledge Bases" by Kim Fairchild and Steven E. Poltrock from MCC
and George Furnas from Bell Labs. It is in a book edited by R. Guindon
entitled "Cognitive Science and its Application to Human Computer
Interaction", published by Erlbaum & Associates, Hillsdale, New Jersey.

talked to George last Friday, and he indicated he would be willing to talk
