I am looking for the sources for CLOS and XCLOS. I have copies that are dated Nov. 1987. Postgres.berkeley.edu used to have them but postgres says they are on camelot.berkeley.edu but there's nothing there. Thanks for any help you can give, Mike McDonald mac@trantor.harris-atd.com (407) 727-5060 Advanced Technology Dept. Harris Corp. M.S. 3A-1912 P.O. Box 37 Melbourne, Florida 32902

Sorry Mike... I moved to UW Madison and they told me that the sources were eating up too much space. I now have them for public ftp on my uVAX at UW. It is named cheddar.cs.wisc.edu (128.105.2.113) and relevant files are: xcl.tar.Z xclos.tar.Z pcl-03.17.88.tar.Z The PCL is only for ExCL (or Allegro) and not for other LISPs. If you need the 3/17 version for other LISPs, I have that on-line. As far as XCL and XCLOS are concerned, no, I haven't updated them to X11 (i.e. XCLOS using CLX) or the newest PCL. I don't have a great LISP (just KCL), and I haven't been able to spend much hacking. Hopefully, I will get time over the Xmas break and redo XCLOS using CLX. If you want more in-depth information about XCLOS, let me know. I haven't documented all the new features (most having to do with increasing performance with event handling). You might also be interested in cling.tar.Z (interface to Ingres) and soh.tar.Z which is a prototype implementation of a shared object hierarchy (this needs to be run w/ POSTGRES.. talk to the Postgres people at berkeley about availability). Hope this helps. dcm ----- David C. Martin arpa: dcmartin@cs.wisc.edu University of Wisconsin - Madison uucp: uunet!ucbarpa!dcmartin Computer Sciences Department at&t: 608/262-6624 (O)
