Here is a sentence in the beginning of the LOOPS Manual (1983) : LOOPS grew out of our research in a knowledge representation language (called Lore) for use in a project to create an "expert assistant" for designers of integrated digital systems. Could somebody tell me if "integrated digital systems" means "integrated circuits" ? I am not sure, but the LOOPS Manual was referenced as a VLSI Group Memo. Many thanks for your help.
