[comp.lang.lisp] question about READING incomplete lists

mfi@beach.cis.ufl.edu (Mark Interrante) (04/26/89)

I would like to execute : (read-from-string "(a")
and not get thrown into the error handler. It would be nice to be informed
that the string was illegal. P.374 of the CL manual says this always signals
an error. Is there a way around this or a way to catch it. BTW I am using
coral commonlisp. Thanks.
