Sorry if this posting isn't entirely appropriate for all three newsgroups... The November 1986 issue of "Computer" contained an article describing the Symbolic Processing Using RISCs (SPUR) architecture being researched at UC-Berkeley. The SPUR instruction set was basically RISCy but contained some Lisp (e.g., tagging) and floating-point support. I haven't seen or heard much more about SPUR since that article.
