I have been reading Steele's "Common Lisp: the Language, 2nd Edition." The appendices describe Dick Waters' proposals for series, generators, gatherers, etc. Apparently the proposals have not yet been accepted by X3J13 due to lack of widespread experience with the facilities. Waters' proposals seem to have merit, but the question is: How do I get an implementation of the facilities, one that runs on at least one of Symbolics CL, LispWorks, Allegro CL, Sun CL, or Austin Kyoto CL? I understand that the suggested optimizations probably require compiler support, but for my experimentation a portable and/or unoptimized version would be sufficient. Is one available - say, via anonymous FTP? Lawrence G. Mayka AT&T Bell Laboratories lgm@ihlpf.att.com Standard disclaimer.
