[comp.lang.lisp] CLX breaks HP/UX 7.0 Lucid

skh@nl.cs.cmu.edu (Steve Handerson) (07/19/90)

Folks,

We're running HP (Lucid) COMMON LISP II,
Development Environment Rev A.02.01 2/8/88.
We recently switched to HPUX 7.0, and now,
while loading CLX,
the lisp decides that we're not authorized to run lisp
("Sorry, lisp not configured to run on this machine.").

We don't have the money to buy any updates to lisp.
Has anyone else solved this problem?

Steve,

This problem arises from the fact that HPCL II (2.15) does not run on HPUX
7.0. In order to get that running, you would have to get a patch file from
HP. Meanwhile, you should also know that we now have Lucid CL 4.0 running
on both our 300 and 800 series. This version of HPCL includes CLOS, kanji,
and full color support.

For more help on both versions of HPCL you can probably contact your SE.
Otherwise, try contacting our on line support people at:
