also posting to comp.windows.x I am running a hypertext browsing system written in Sun Common Lisp and using CLX. The system runs fine using a Sparcstation with X11R3 as the X-Server but will cause errors when using a Mac IIfx running A/UX 2.0 with X11R4 as the display server. The following is a typical error message:- X-Error: ID 41 from display #<DISPLAY pc 0> should have been a XLIB:WINDOW but was :WM_SIZE_HINTS. It looks like the lisp structure for the display is not what it should be. This is the structure returned by the 'open-display' function from the display.lisp file in the CLX distribution. We are working with CLX for X11 Release 2. If this old release is the cause of the problem then I cannot get a newer one because we cannot use anonymous FTP. Anyway all suggestions are welcome. If anyone realy thinks that the open-display function is the problem then I would appreciate them posting or mailing me a recent copy of display.lisp or whatever it is called these days.
