There is a package called CLM (Common Lisp Motif) which provides an interface between Common Lisp and the Motif Tool Kit. (using a kind of Motif widgets server) I was just wondering if the same kind of tool exists for XView/OpenLook. There is a package put together by Sun called LispView (formerly called Solo), which does this. To the best of my knowledge, however, it only runs in Lucid and on Suns, and also requires CLOS (not PCL), which will be packaged with the next release of Lucid. Basically the package just makes alot of foregin function calls to the XView widget set. This package is still in its *real* early stages (we are using some sort of Alpha, or pre-Alpha release), but I understand a new release comes out in the Fall sometime (Halloween sticks in my mind for some reason). Contact Sun for more info. -tom murray (murray@ils.nwu.edu)
