That is waht my boss said. He wants me to pick LISP to run on the ULTRIX machines he is buying. According to DEC's catalog, the choices are: Allegro Common LISP IBUKI Common LISP LUCID Common LISP VAX LISP/ULTRIX The choice criteria are: Reliability (i.e., lack of bugs) Adherence to Common LISP standard (to support portability) Adherence to a "standard" X windows interface (portability again) Convenient debugging tools (ideally, those on a LISP machine) I think the last point means support for CLX but I am not sure. I have been living in the LISP machine world for 5 years now and am out of touch with the rest of the LISP world. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. John
