Would it be entirely out of line to suggest that Scotty didn't *have* VD, nor a hangover? I can not, unfortunately, remember the exact dialogue, but all that I got from the exchange was that Scotty had gone on shore leave, which for Scotty was tough. Remember back in the series, folks, how Scotty hated to leave work? Remember how he would relax by reading technical manuals? Remember how he had to be coerced into going on shore leaves?
