[net.sf-lovers] Fantasy in net.sf-lovers?

burton (07/01/82)

I was wondering. I'm new to the net (sort of), and so I'm curious as to
whether net.sf-lovers is intended to included fantasy as well. I'm referring
to those works by authors such as Tolkien, Stephen R. Donaldson, Katherine
Kurtz, Michael Moorcock, etc. I realize that many works of this type kind
of 'fall into the cracks' of classification; even so, most of the time
you get a gut feeling as to whether something is fantasy or science fiction.
For example, Silverburg's Magipoor books ('Lord Valentine's Castle' and
'The Magipoor Chronicles'), 'feel' more like fantasy to me, even though
they have science fiction elements in them. If net.sf-lovers is not
intended as a forum for fantasy lovers as well, then is there any interest
in starting a net.fantasy group?
