[comp.lang.c++] How portable is C++ programs to systems with only C compilers?

Is it possible to port a C++ program to systems without C++ support?
What I mean is: Can I take the translated C code to another system
with only standard C compiler and libraries and make it to work?
Would any feature in C++ become unusable in this way?
If yes, can they be compensated for? How?

Would C++ be part of a standard UNIX system in future?
