Sorry for the delay, but when you combine delivery through both the U.S.
and Canadian postal services arrival is a miracle and getting anything on time
is a sign that the Second Coming is near:

Ellison Book to be Recalled by Ace: copies of SPIDER KISS were
distributed with a mistake on the cover. Without me going into
too many details, Ellison does not appreciate being identified
as a science fiction author and made it a contractual obligation
that Ace not use the Ace Science Fiction or Ace Fiction logo
for his books. The contract specified the books were to use a
new logo, Ace Ellison #1, Ace Ellison #2, etc. For some reason,
perhaps due to the recent sale of Grosset/Ace to Putnam, the mistake
    was noticed but not corrected.

Arthur C. Clarke has sold a collection of eight short stories to Byron
Preiss Visual Publications. Berkley will publish the book.
Clarke's home-produced reading of excerpts from 2010: ODYSSEY TWO will
appear as a Caedom record this fall.

Whispers Press plans November publication of a signed/slipcased
    first edition of FOUNDATION'S EDGE. $50. list, $45 pre-publication.

Whispers will also do a trade hardcover and signed/slipcased edition
of Harlan Ellison's FROM THE LAND OF FEAR, possibly with new stories
    added to the collection.

Berkley will publish Doc Smith's SUB-SPACE ENCOUNTER, sequel to
SUBSPACE EXPLORERS, along with a reissue of the earlier book.
[Why is it that dead author's seem to be among the most productive?]

his "Four Lords of the Diamond" tetralogy for Del Rey. CHARON: A
DRAGON AT THE GATE will appear in november, followed by MEDUSA: A
TIGER BY THE TAIL in spring 1983.

on the libretto of Mozart's "Magic Flute" to Del Rey. She has also sold
