Hi: We are working on a software architecture/design/implementation proposal, which includes using C++ as the implementation language. In organizations, like ours, software revolution occurs on a balance sheet. So, we need to put numbers proving better long-term productivity and reliability using C++ to exceed short-term disadvantages of increased learning curve. We are currently using studies reffering to "modern programming practices" to support our case. However, the need for C++-specific data became quite apparent. Could anyone refer us to such data ? Articles ? Studies ? Does anybody have positive/negative experiences in supporting a similar cause ? Please, share it with us. Thanx in advance Ed Gokhman

Hi, Dennis Morro at University of Lousiana, Lafayette: If you're reading this. There is a great interest here to see the results of your pilot for a study. Could you please send it to me or post it on the net. Or can we discuss it via mail or phone ? The preliminary nature of it is well understood and will be used in such context, unless you have already conclusive results. Thank you, Ed Gokhman ...!mtx5a!esg
