[comp.lang.c++] GCC/G++ patches

gcc@ICS.UCI.EDU (GNU C Compiler) (05/03/88)

I was somewhat unclear about the following note to info-g++:

>There are two small patches you may wish to make to files which are
>now under GNU CC jurisdiction. The first change is necessary if you
>don't want the compiler to crash unexpectedly. The second yields
>greater optimization. In the file emit-rtl.c:

Should these patches be applied directly to the GCC 1.21 source (thus
affecting the GCC distribution) or only to the G++ source (i.e., by
copying the files into the g++ directory?

Thanks,
