aMessage@stpstn.UUCP (Usenet messages objcc group) (05/14/88)
Currently, there is a posting in news.groups
to form an Objective-C news group. This group
would be called comp.lang.objc.
I am cross posting to this group since an occasional
Objective-C article is found here. Any followup should
be posted to news.groups or emailed to me at the below
address.
The posting in news.groups reads as follows:
/---------------------------------------------------/
This listing is a proposal to form a newsgroup
titled net.comp.lang.objcc to discuss issues
related to use of the Objective-C language in
Object Oriented Programming.
This newsgroup will serve the following needs:
- Request to Stepstone from the net user
community to create an Objective-C newsgroup.
- Provide an appropriate newsgroup for articles
concerning Objective-C.
- Provide a neutral forum for Objective-C users
for information exchange.

Is there a connection? My vote: I think I would prefer to have just one group for object-oriented programming and the languages designed for it, rather than bunches. We could call it comp.lang.ool or something. But if you start up a comp.lang.objc, I'll subscribe. -- Dave J.
