(1) Has anybody tried to compile and use Keith Gorlen's object-oriented C++ library called OOPS with Zortech C++? He developed it for UNIX at NIH and put it into the public domain (as required by his contract with the Feds). I tried to compile it for MS-DOS 3 on my AT&T 6300PLUS with Guidelines C++, but Guidelines choked and ran out of memory (Guidelines requires a full 640K, and my MS-DOS-running-under-UNIX only has 598K available, so I am not blaming Guidelines for this problem). (2) I have had some problems getting some simple floating point routines working (e.g. fahrenheit/centigrade). Is there any magic to using software floating point? I am using all default libraries with no special compilation options (just plain vanilla ZTC). I have mailed info on this to Zortech via Snail mail. Do they have a net address here? Let's not assume this is a bug: I am still learning how to use the Zortech system. -- Bill Hutchison, DP Consultant rutgers!cbmvax!burdvax!uucsbb!wgh Unisys UNIX Portation Center "What one fool can do, another can!"
