Well, this out to stir up some controversy ... The company I'm employed by is starting a new software development project that will begin with 5 people but will likely grow to 15 or 20. Naturally, I have suggested that we use C++ to make the division of effort more apparent [insert classic object oriented arguements ...] My question is this: Which compiler/translator should I use, given the constraint that it must run on DEC VAX workstation (GPX) under Ultrix? As I see it, the choices are AT&T, Oasis, Oregon, and GNU. I already have some preconceived notions about each of these products but would appreciate any input that anyone could give me, including criticisms of the type "I used brand X and it was a real dog". Please email all responses to me and I'll summarize to this newsgroup if the reply warrants it. Thanks in advance, Jon Becher argosy!becher@decwrl.dec.com "All things are relative ...
