Well, I just invested in Zortech's C++ compiler (not translator!) and it's great! It comes on 8 diskettes, with a large manual, and implements ANSI C with Bjarne Stroustrup's C++, as defined in his book (but not his later ideas :-( It feels faster than Borland's C, and seems straightforward to use. I haven't cut any major code with it yet, but it seems like a good production compiler, for a great price! I'm (of course) not connected with Zortech in any way (apart from being a satisfied customer - I took advantage of their upgrade offer, having previously used their C compiler....)
