Has anyone out there ever had the nerve to try to port G++ to System V?
I have been trying to build G++ 1.25.1 on System V.3.1 and I have found out
that the files "collect.c" and "ld.c" are setup strictly for a.out format
binaries and not for COFF format. Has anybody got patches for 1.25.1 which
can get me past this?
P.S. I haven't even looked at what happens to symout.h, dbxout.h, and sdbout.h
during compilation of these files (i'm hoping that the GCC mechanism for
getting 2 out of 3 of them #ifdef out completely works) but at least they
all got compiled by the Makefile and they all compiled cleanly. That's a
good sign.
