Hello folks,
sorry to put a request for info in the middle of debates
among C++ gurus; but I guess I got to start somewhere. Please ignore
this posting if you do not use Apollo workstations.
We recently got a beta release of C++ compiler (and the
enhanced debugger) from Apollo running under SR 9.7.
I would appreciate if netters who have used it on Apollos
can share their experience with me (I have had LOTS of trouble getting
it set up and started !). My project is time critical (so what's new?)
and I dont want to experiment with it if it's unstable.
Secondly, how do I get started with C++? I am quite
experienced C programmer, and have developed object oriented
enhacements to C for CAE applications. I will therefore not need too
much of handholding. I am in search of easy-to-understand material.
Also, I have acquired a rich C library; is there any out there in C++
world?
