I have an enquiry on behalf of someone who wishes to do development work using C++ on a SUN, and deliver the system on a PC. Can anyone recommend a C++ system which will run on both PCs and SUNs, or alternatively, a C++ to C translator which runs on a SUN and produces C code suitable for compiling on a PC (with for example MicroSoft C). Thanks, Ian. -- Ian Filby, JANET: I.Filby@uk.ac.ed AI Applications Institute, ARPA: I.Filby%uk.ac.ed@nss.cs.ucl.ac.uk University of Edinburgh. UUCP: ...!ukc!ed.ac.uk!I.Filby

Oasys markets Glockenspiel (of Dublin's) Designer C++. This runs on lots of platforms, including Sun and PC. I'm waiting for my copy of the PC version, which works under DOS, MS-Windows, and OS/2, and comes with lots of stuff besides cfront (they port, repackage, and add stuff to AT&T cfront). DOS cost $495 from Glockenspiel for the PC version, $2000 from Oasys for the Sun version. yours, Scott E. Garfinkle SMS Data Products Group, Inc. uunet!smsdpg!seg
