I'm attempting to build up a version of ATT's libC.a (generic 1.2) using Sun's OS 4.0 shared library mechanism (sun3's and 4's so far). I've done all the obvious (to me) things, like compiling everything with the -pic option and building the library with -assert pure-text. My little cout << "hello world" program works fine so long as I link libC.a statically (I know, big deal), but conveniently seg faults when run it with a dynamically linked libC.so.0.1. Has anyone out there already done this? Is there something stuipd [sic :)] that I have missed? Thanx in advance.
