Other dates have been mentioned before, but I think

Will it be possible to purchase/license C++ 2.0 from AT&T directly, instead
of waiting for third party vendors to port it to different platforms?

Yes, as it has been for C++ 1.2, provided you want to pay
the price for the source and then port it yourself.
I don't know prices, but understand there is a substantial
discount for universities.

Call the AT&T software licensing people at 800-828-UNIX for details.

For the record, can we get an "official" pronouncement about
what capabilities will be included in, and what capabilities
will be missing from the AT&T 2.0 compiler release?
