[comp.lang.c++] Reference books..

Hi. I'm looking to learn C++, and would like recommendations on books (the
library here doesn't seem to carry any, so I'll have to buy my own - ouch!)
on the language. I'm pretty versed in C, so it's not necessary for it to be
introductory ("This is a pointer.... Can you say, "Array"? :-) "). I've
looked at "The C++ programming language" but it seems too expensive... Is it
worth the price?

And one more thing. I understand that there are several versions of C++.
Is there some kind of standard? And which books would cover them?

Post or e-mail.
