Ellison's original script for this can be found in SIX SCIENCE FICTION PLAYS, one of the few worthwhile anthologies by Roger Elwood. It \is/ a good deal better than what finally came out; it may be too long (though I would think Ellison had enough experience by then that he wouldn't have made that mistake) and definitely would have run way over budget (e.g. a long valley full of huge talking statues).
