The Sun C++ 2.0 product was announced on August 21 at IJCAI in
Detroit. A copy of the full press announcement may be seen in the
comp.newprod newsgroup (message ID <26475@mcdchg.chg.mcd.mot.com>).

Here is a short summary: Sun C++ 2.0 is based on AT&T's cfront 2.0,
including the standard 2.0 C++ libraries (libC/iostream, libcomplex,
libtask, libOstream). It also includes a version of dbx/dbxtool that
has been enhanced to support C++, as well as C++ versions of several
other SunOS tools (e.g., ctags, gprof, lex, nm, rpcgen, yacc). In
addition, a collection of SunOS 4.0 and Sunview header files, modified
to work with C++, are provided. Sun C++ 2.0 takes advantage of SunOS's
shared libraries, and supports the Network Software Environment (NSE).
