Hello, we need a C++ for the DECstation 3100. As far as I know, G++ is not possible on the DECstation. The other C++ I know about is that from AT&T. Does it run on a DECstation? Where can we order it (expecially from Europe)? How much is it? Are there other possible compilers? Please e-mail your answer and I will post a summary when requested. Thank you. The other C++ I know about is that from The following information about installing g++ on the DECstation 3100 is courtesy of Dirk Grunwald. Addition requests for information on this topic should be addressed to gnu.g++.bug: ---------------------------------------- pick up MIPS.SHAR (or something like that) from anonymous FTP in the foobar.Colorado.EDU pub partition. this contains all the MIPS related files I've got, other than the wimpy debuggin support, which is still too ugly to hand out. if those flies don't cut it, post the problem & I'll dig out the needed fix. Using the version of gcc-1.36.1 & gcc-1.36 with these patches, I've compiled & run a 20K line simulation library, as well as libng++. The results have been compared to execution on a 68K and are legit, so I'm fairly happy. there might be one bug in pulling floats off the stack that I haven't found yet - if you do int foo(int i, float f) { return ( i + f ); } you'll find an initial mfc1 that moves a value to %6, but never uses it. I haven't looked into this problem yet. ---------------------------------------- Hope this helps!
