I noticed the following sentence at the beginning of a review in Nature of the book "Cosmology, Physics and Philosophy": "The anciencts considered the ultimate question of 'Life, the Universe, and Everything' to be part of philosophy even though they were not sure the answer was 42..." (Nature, 11/11/82, page 135)
