[comp.lang.c++] Time for another round of "What's the best C++ book"

jamin@nunki.usc.edu (Sugih Jamin) (03/05/90)

Hello,

With all the new C++ books on the market, it is hard to recommend
the "best" C++ book to a new user. I would call a C++ book "good"
if it:
	1. teaches the object-oriented paradigm well.
	2. covers all of C++ (v.2.0) syntax completely, in a cookbook fashion.
	3. has a reference section.
   (4. not thicker than K&R or Stroustrup)

Please e-mail if you have a particular book that you like, I'll summarize.
Thanks.
