[comp.lang.c++] Integrating G++ and GCC code

Has anyone done fairly large scale programs involving the integration of 
GCC and G++ code? I am interested in how well the interfaces between
the two worked, such as having C functions call C++ functions and
vice versa. I would be working in the SunOS environment, mostly 
Sun4's.
