I'd like to get some input from people who have used or know about C++ compilers for the PC running under DOS. I am interested in buying either Turbo C++ or Zortech's C++. Can anyone share their experience with either one of these two compilers or maybe even a third one? Thank you, Santi santi@nixdorf.com.uu.net.uunet

I'd like to get some feedback too. I remember that there was a big discussion about this when Turbo C++ came out. I didn't pay attention then, so I don't remember the outcome. I am looking more for a Unix like environment(grep, make(unix flavor)), and perhaps OS/2 support(found out we have OS/2 on some machines here at school). -Mike P.S. Is the newsgroup archived anywhere?

Zortech C++ supports OS/2 and Windows. It compiles faster
and produces smaller and faster executables than any other DOS C++ compiler.
Interestingly, Borland's latest benchmark ad doesn't compare
against ZTC++.
For more info, call Zortech at 800-848-8408 for a brochure. You can also
call our BBS at 206-822-6907 to get an idea of what Zortech customers
do with and think about ZTC++.
Disclaimer: I wrote ZTC++.
