We are planning on writing an object oriented front end for mathematica using CLOS or C++. Before we decide on whether to use CLOS or C++, I'd like to get some advice from any of you who've had some experiences doing something close to this. Will CLOS be supported wrt, say operating system or mathematica upgrades? Will we be end up supporting CLOS? Can CLOS be trusted (too buggy)? How easy/hard is it to interface CLOS with mathematica, compared to the interface between C++ (or C) and mathematica? Speaking of interfaces to mathematica, does anyone know of the latest method to do that (i.e. MathTalk (version?), is MathLink complete?, is MathObject available yet?) Any pointers will be of great help. Thanks in advance. -Prasad Dharmasena Federal Reserve Board fed!m1pkd00, m1pkd00@fed.FRB.GOV
