Well, the Troggs were certainly the first to have a hit with it - back in
the summer of '66. Due to a legal dispute over the U.S. rights to the
group, it was released on two different labels here (Atco and Fontana).
It was written by Chip Taylor (who also wrote 'Angel Of The Morning') who
is the brother of actor Jon Voight.
