[comp.lang.c++] Zortech C++ for Macintosh?

beard@ux5.lbl.gov (Patrick C Beard) (01/09/91)

Is there a Zortech C++ product imminent for the Macintosh? If so, how will
it be delivered, stand-alone? MPW tool? Frustrated CFront users want to
know.

Yes, at least I was told that Zortech will ship a C++ compiler that works with
MPW. I was given a phone number to get more info. but I haven't tried it yet.
800-848-8408 which should be Zortech sales.

It exists in beta. We showed the beta product at MacWorld last week. It is
not ready to ship yet, I'm not sure how long it will take. The difficulties
stem from implementing all the extensions necessary to handle handle and
pascal objects (and you thought the 8086 was bad :-) :-)).
