[net.music] RALPH rules!

<nothing coherent here...>

Somebody ask about DK's freaks? They're actually one of the
more "respectable" (if there is such a thing) hard core bands around
nowadays with a certain amount of musical talent. Supposedly a few of
them (I don't really know this for sure, but what the hell ya know)
have had classical training. Now whether they've had potty training I
don't know either.

This is sort of a reply to a posting about favorite lines from
songs. Well, I generally don't remember particular lines since a lot
has to do with the way the vocalist delivers the message.
I do have a few fave songs though (not by any means a complete list)

	Peter Gabriel--Start/I Don't Remember
	King Crimson--Frame by Frame
	Tuxedomoon--Crash
	Simple Minds--Tunes For Great Cities
	Talking Heads--I Zimbra
	Residents--Satisfaction
Anything (well, almost) I've never heard before!

The DKs sometimes sound as if they've just speeded up
surf music. Listen to "Let's Lynch the Landlord" for an example
of that. I wouldn't have guessed that they have had classical
training but that could mean anything ( I took violin in 4th grade
and they had me learning some pretty funky stuff for a first-timer).
I'm still a DK freak. Where can I get there lyrics? Old Jello
Biafra must be a graduate from the Mick Jagger School of Eloqution.

Does anybody know which Joy Division album I should get? I'm interested
in checking them out but I don't want to buy a future cut-out of
theirs. I'll check out New Order after that.
