Thanks to those of you who answered my questions regarding Borland C++. Like any product, some people are satisfied while some are not. One individual went so far as to recommend that I buy Zortech's product instead. Let me share briefly some of the results: Its compiler error messages leave something to be desired and it doesn't optimize "as well" as MSC 6.0. (I wonder if one could compile with MS-C 5 and link using some of Borland's tools?) It compiles especially quickly in protected mode. The class library that comes with it is not an MS-Windows library. I was under the impression that a MacApp style library came with BC++ so this was revealing to me. One respondent uses the CommonVu library. Another recommended C++/Views. There seems to be some problem with the IDE and Logitech/Microsoft mice but things like the Turbo Debugger got kudos and all-in-all, the product was recommended more often than scorned. Thanks to rick clark, Jamshid, Tom Brown, Jim James, Heien-Kun Chiang, Paul Dorsey, and anyone else I've left out due to mis-timed keystrokes in capturing your names 8-)! Cheers! Art Klassen
