This is just to thank all you who responded to my "C Review" posting. It was certainly very enlightening. I'd just like to say that I certainly don't totally disagree with all his comments myself (although some I did). Nothing is ever completely black and white. However, his tone for the entire review, and not just those comments which I posted, seemed to give a very negative impression about C and C programmers. His attitude is even more puzzling to us in that he claims to be an active voice in the current ANSI C discussions--I hope he doesn't have too much influence or C might never be the same language!! Incidentally, this guy has already written a C text and says he has two more in the works. I don't know what his past book is like, but I going to take a look...
