[comp.lang.c] Modern C reference

jfjr@mitre-bedford.arpa (03/31/87)

Where can one find an up to date C reference manual. K&R is
nice yes but most compilers implement prototypes, functions
returning structures, long (~31 character) variable names. MS DOS
C I think supports "const". Please I don't need privately mailed
lectures about portability nor does this bulletin board. I have
already heard enough about "professional programmers shouldn't
write code....that doesn't comply with etc." If I was interested
in portable code I wouldn't ask this.
I just need information about the C language as it is CURRENTLY
implemented for 4.2 and/or system V. If this question has been
answered before then I apologize for wasting anyone's time.
