Here is reference for Leffler's report: A Detailed Tour Through the /6 Portable C Compiler Samuel J. Leffler Department of Computer Engineering Crawford Hall Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, Ohio 44106 This paper details the internal structure of the C compiler written for the Harris /6 minicomputer. The compiler is based on the Portable C Compiler (PCC) [Johnson79]. In addition to a description of the workings of the compiler, related topics such as the porting process are discussed. This document is intended to suplement the authors thesis [Leffler80], as well as supply future users of PCC with insight into the work necessary to write a new C compiler based on PCC. While a number of problems encountered in porting PCC to the /6 are due to the primitive machine architecture, it is hoped these experiences may be beneficial to others. All specific details of the compiler and examples are taken from the /6 version of PCC. --------------------------------------------------------------- One could try case for a copy.
