[comp.lang.c] C language refernce

brian@utradio.UUCP (08/07/87)

I'm looking for a, or perhaps some, good C reference[s] to set by our machine
(Sun 3). It would be nice to have:

	1) Clear exposition of modern C (we have K+R).
	2) Discussion of the ansi standard vs. current practice where the
impact may be serious (this may only be available in the drafts?).
	3) Useful discussion of unix libraries and system considerations.

These don't have to start at the lowest possible level, although that would
be nice (they certainly shouldn't start beyond K+R). They also don't all
have to be in one book, although that too would be nice.

I'm sure that this must have been discussed to death in the past, so please
reply via mail. I will make a summary available to those who who ask for it,
or will post it to the net if there's a lot of interest.
