Does anybody know what the internal arguments are to c$$doprint, c$$doscan. We have an application where we have to code our own doprint, doscan which takes variable numbers of arguments. It would nice rather than to recode printf to be able to call the native Vax C internals directly.

I am willing to bet that the VMS internal doprnt and doscan take arguments which are remarkably similar to the functions fprintf and fscanf. The difference would be that the first argument would be a file descriptor (or the VMS equivilant thereof), as opposed to a pointer to a "FILE". By going after these entry points, you risk having your program break when DEC gives you new libraries. Farrell T. Woods Datacube Inc. Systems / Software Group 4 Dearborn Rd.
