The International Standards Organization (ISO) has established working groups (WG) on both the C programming language and POSIX under Technical Committee 97 (TC97) Subcommittee 22 (SC22). These are designated as ISO/TC97/SC22/WG14 and ISO/TC97/SC22/WG15 respectively. The Canadian Standards Association's (CSA) Committee on Programming Languages (CPL) which is equivalent to the Standard Council of Canada's (SCC) Canadian Advisory Committee (CAC) on ISO/TC97/SC22, has established working groups to formulate the Canadian position on these standards. This is to announce the first meeting of these 2 working groups. Tom Kelly of HCR Corporation has been appointed convener of (Canadian) WG14 and Richard Sniderman of HCR Corporation has been appointed convener of (Canadian) WG15. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Committee: CAC/ISO/TC97/SC22/WG14 (C) Date: Thursday November 26 Time: 1:00 pm This meeting will consider the current draft proposal for an international standard for C (ISO DP 9899), document ISO/TC97/SC22N413.
