Nope, using '@' wasn't a good choice back then. That was the default
line kill character on early Unix systems. Those who tried to use the
DEC assemblers on such systems can appreciate this.

Of course, v6 vs. arpanet was almost as much fun as csh vs. uucp, and
more fun than '^' routing.
