[comp.lang.c] Need Help on Sun's dbxtool...

dmg@ssc-vax.UUCP (David Geary) (01/29/88)

I just got a Sun 3/60 at work ;-) and of course, I love it.
I had been developing software on some CAD/CAM Unix system
that had ZIP along the lines of suntools programmers library,
debuggers, etc. Now, however, I have it all.

Anyway, the first thing I ripped open when I got my new toy was
dbxtool. After programming in C for over 3 years with NO
DEBUGGER whatsoever, dbxtool is a dream come true. However,
I have one question:

How does one get a running program inside of dbxtool to take
input? If I have a scanf() that I "step" to, how can I
enter something without dbxtool thinking it is a dbx command?

Thanx for the help,
